William J. oldroyd

Will Oldroyd is an Astronomy and Planetary Science Graduate Research Assistant at Northern Arizona University. Will’s current projects include searching for Planet X and other extreme distant objects in our solar system, computationally modeling the outer solar system perihelion gap (both in collaboration with Prof. Chad Trujillo, Will’s primary advisor), optimizing timing for follow-up on directly imaged exo-Earths, computationally efficient methods of exoplanet transit detection, constraining the asteroid weathering rate using families as a function of semi-major axis, and observational planning for the Deep Ecliptic Exploration Project (DEEP). When not observing or coding, Will enjoys hiking, cooking, and playing board games with his wife and son.
