Arnaud salvador
Arnaud Salvador (he/him/his) is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at University of Arizona. He uses and develops planetary interior and atmospheric models to characterize the habitability of rocky planets, from the distant past to the near future. He is particularly interested in the evolution of the magma ocean, its cooling, solidification, and outgassing in interaction with the atmosphere and the implications for early water ocean formation on Earth, Venus, and exoplanets. Arnaud also investigates the capabilities of future direct imaging observatories in retrieving atmospheric properties and surface conditions of distant worlds, to refine instruments design and define the most efficient observing strategies.
🇫🇷Arnaud Salvador est un chercheur postdoctorant au Lunar and Planetary Laboratory à l’Université d’Arizona. Il utilise et développe des modèles d’intérieurs planétaire et d’atmosphères pour caractériser l’habitabilité des planètes rocheuses, du passé lointain au futur proche. Il s’intéresse tout particulièrement à l’évolution de l’océan de magma, son refroidissement, sa solidification, et son dégazage en interaction avec l’atmosphère et leurs implications concernant la formation des océans d’eau primitifs sur la Terre, Vénus, et les planètes extra-solaires. Arnaud étudie également les capacités des futurs observatoires à caractériser les propriétés atmosphériques et les conditions de surface des mondes distants en imagerie directe, afin d’optimiser la conception des instruments et de définir les meilleures stratégies d’observation possibles.🇫🇷
